Forget 'What are your strengths and weaknesses?' If you want to get the real dope on prospective employees, ask job candidates these seven questions.

When it comes to understanding consumers and what they will want, Apple is one of the strategically smartest companies in the world. And the recently reported deal to acquire music streaming start-up Lala is another indication that the company is planning to become the central cloud for consumers. That raises some interesting questions about what [...]

Crooks are coming up with clever ways to steal money from debit card customers. Here’s how to protect yourself.

Delineated.com

It's alive! I just realized tonight how incredibly long it has been since I've updated Delineated, so I thought I better rectify that.

This was taken through the car window while driving back from Bonnaroo in June. Being a big White Stripes fan, I couldn't help myself.

In other news, on July 1st, Delineated.com turned 5!  Even though I don't update much these days, I still hope this place will be around and kicking for years to come. And with that said, I will try to be better about updating.

Update: looks like my blog is busted, so if you see anything weird, that's why. For some reason, I'm unable to delete this entry!

  • Hatch Show Print

Hatch Show Print, in Nashville, TN, is one of the oldest working letterpress printers in the U.S.  I wanted to go in the last time I went to Nashville, but wasn't able to, so I made sure to check it out when I went back this past June. This was taken late in the evening when it was closed, but I went back the next day to check out the inside. Very cool place...I could've spent a lot of time in there, if we didn't have to run off to Bonnaroo a few minutes later.

I have to apologize for being absolutely terrible with updating this site lately. I haven't been out shooting for the fun of it in a very long time, so have no fresh content to upload. My schedule is starting to normalize and I think I'll be able to consistently find time to get out there and shoot again very soon.

Also, I would like to thank 10,000 Words.net for including me on their 30 Amazing Photoblogs list, even though I don't feel I deserve it, since I've practically abandoned the place!  I very much appreciate the nod, though. :)

  • Chillin'

A quick backyard portrait of my landlords' Wheaton Terrier, Pinot as she was chilling out.

  • But Doesn't Have The T-Shirt
Seen wandering around at Warped Tour.
  • Naigh Club

Found this on a back road in the middle of nowhere (Manchester, TN) as we were heading to Bonnaroo.  I love their creative spelling.

On a separate note, Delineated turned 4 on July 1st! Things have slowed down quite dramatically on the blog, but I can't believe it's been going for as long as it has.

  • Falls
  • Return Hangers
A dry cleaning place somewhere on Roncesvalles that looked like the decor hadn't been changed in decades.
  • Wall O' Shoes
This is fairly old...taken 2-3 years ago.  I haven't gotten out to shoot anything besides concert stuff lately.  With the nice weather coming around, I'm hoping to get out and play sometime soon.  I need it...I think we all need a little more sunshine after this long winter.
  • The Hives

Caught Howlin' Pelle Almqvist in mid-air during The Hives' show at the Kool Haus last week.  The guy barely stands still for a second, so the fact that this isn't totally blurry is a miracle.

Wanna see other music shots? Hop on over to Livebabylive to get your fill.  Maybe add it to your RSS, hmm?  Yes, that was a shameless plug...I've gotta be whorin' myself out sometimes, ya know.

  • BW Wheel
-15C is way too cold to get out there and shoot new stuff, so we're revisiting the wheel.
  • Disorder in the Classroom
I think I posted a shot similar to this a few years back, but found this version while going through my files and wanted to revisit it.
  • Empty
  • Heat
Thought this was appropriate, given the current weather in Toronto.
  • A Study In Maple Syrup
I wish this was slightly sharper, but I like the concept.  This was taken in one of the candy stores on Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls.
  • Hyperglycemia

I'm not a big fan of eating candy, but it sure is pretty to photograph.

  • Micowve. Frid G
Another Cadillac Motel shot.  This place was a gem.
  • Through The Viewfinder: Best Western
Through the viewfinder of my Kodak Duaflex II; Best Western hotel in Niagara Falls.
  • Wheel In Motion
Long exposure of the Wheel at Niagara Falls.
  • Just a Frame

Another shot from the archives.  As previously mentioned, I've been doing a serious overhaul of my files, streamlining, etc., and came across a disc of Whitby Psych photos that I honestly don't think I've even looked at before. All I know is that the above photo was shot on some Fuji film at 800iso, and it was taken in April '05.  I could search through my actual negatives to find out, but I'm too lazy (let's be honest here).

  • Cadillac Motel TTV
Through the viewfinder of my Kodak Duaflex II.
  • 21 20 19
    Cadillac Motel, Niagara Falls.
  • Veal or Chicken...What'll It Be?
Taken through the window of an abandoned restaurant on Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls.  Would've been cool to be able to get into the place.
  • New Power Generation
The new power generator going up beside the old Hearn building.
  • Too Much Too Young
Cleaning up my archives and realizing there are a ridiculous number of photos I haven't edited.  This is one of my fave shots in awhile...kinda sums up the whole rock n roll lifestyle.
  • Graceland Mansion
This is the front room, to the right, when you walk into Graceland Mansion.  I wish we could've walked right into the room, but it was roped off.  Would've been interesting to see that back room with the tv and piano.
  • Entering Banff National Park

The whole family went out to Alberta for Christmas this year.  Got to spend a little time in Banff, where my brother got married on Dec. 27th.  Beautiful place.  It was my first time seeing the mountains, so I was a little shutter-happy.  I took this through the windshield as we were coming into the park.

Happy New Year all!  Best wishes for 2008.  And here's to me actually updating my site more frequently this year. ;)

  • Dancers in the Dark
  • Sunset Reflection
First sunset of Daylight Saving Time, as seen through the side mirror of a friend's car.

Been quite busy lately with moving and trying to get other things in order.  It was nice to get out on Sunday in the sunshine to shoot non-music stuff and clear my mind a bit.  Moving is stressful stuff!
  • Old Skool
One of the roller derby teams skating through the Pride Parade this past summer.
  • Printers Alley
Printers Alley in Nashville, TN.  Tennessee had been experiencing quite the drought for most of the summer, and it figures that the sky would open up and pour rain the night I got into town and had to scout locations for a photo shoot the next day.  It actually turned out to be a lot of fun running around in the rain, and I think it added a special ambience to this shot that wouldn't be there otherwise.  Plus, I'm a sucker for umbrella shots!
