DRUMHELLER, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Dec. 2, 2008) - On December 2, 2008, a 40-year old inmate from the Drumheller Institution died of an unknown cause. A Correctional Officer discovered the offender in an unresponsive condition in his cell at approximately 8:10 a.m. The offender was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Drumheller where he was pronounced dead at 9:03 a.m. The offender's name has not been released pending notification of next of kin. As in all cases where an individual dies while in custody, the police and coroner are called in to investigate.
